Holiday Concert Help Needed!!!

Parents! We need large empty cans, such as a tomato juice can, large (28 oz.) tomato can, or coffee can, 1 per second grader, to make drums. Second graders are singing a song for their Holiday Concert in which they will play them. Drums will be made in Art class. We need cans by Monday of next week (Dec. 7). Cans should be empty, clean, and have both ends removed. Drop them off to the Art Room or have your child do so. Thanks for your help!

November News and Updates

Remember to check the website for the most current news and information!

• H1N1 vaccinations will be administered on Friday, November 20.  All children NOT receiving a vaccination will be given a wristband.  Even though Kindergarten is scheduled off that day, if you would like to bring your child in for the vaccination, please bring them in any time between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m.  You will NOT need to wait in line.
• We have a giving tree set up in the lobby to benefit the Emmaus House.  Please pick an ornamanet and help out a child in need this holiday season.
• We are currently holding a food drive to support the Food Bank of Delaware's Backpack Program.  This program provides food to at-need children for weekends and holidays when school is not in session.  Check out the school website for a complete list of items needed.
• Our Second Grade has received a tree to decorate at Longwood Gardens.  If you are up there, please look for the Maclary Elementary School tree!  Congratulations!
• The holiday concerts this year will be held on December 21st in two sessions.  The first one is at 6:30 p.m. for Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades.  The second one is at 7:30 p.m. for 3rd, 4th and 5th grades.  All are welcome!
